Draw Together Hangout - July

The first Founder's Month Celebration Live Event is a Draw Together Hangout on July, 7th at 4pm PDT. I can't wait to hang out and draw with you! If you're new to Art Maker's Club, Draw Together Hangouts are casual sessions where we can have fun making art together! These unstructured Draw Together Hangouts are not instructional events -- rather an opportunity to reserve some creative time in your calendar, relax, and create art alongside like-minded friends!

But this Draw Together Hangout is a special one! And I've got some fun things planned for you. Read on to see what they are.

Party Games

While this is a Draw Together Hangout event, it's also a PARTY! And what's a party without party games?! To kick off our event, I've planned some fun drawing/Procreate-related games that we'll be playing. (You do not have to participate in the games. You're welcome to come and do your own thing, hang out, or draw.) But for those of you who want to partake, there will be PRIZES for the winners!

Prizes

I'm giving away FREE Bardot Brush Sets - winners' choice. If you've had your eye on one of my brush sets, this is your chance to win it for free!

What we'll be drawing

Since this event is also a Draw Together Hangout, you can bring anything you're working on and hang out and draw. But I do have planned a special Founder's Month theme drawing prompt for us. Since part of Founder's Month is celebrating the progress you've made since joining Art Maker's Club, I've decided that the drawing prompt will be a Past Piece Do-Over.

What is a Past Piece Do-Over? It's when you redraw one of your old artworks. Maybe you want to try drawing it again to see how much your skills have progressed. Or maybe you've learned a new technique that you want to try.

Redrawing a past artwork allows you to gauge your progress and helps you identify areas where you have improved. This will give you a tangible measure of your growth and showcase how far you've come in your artistic journey! Plus, it's really fun and low-pressure since you've already made most of the creative decisions.

Below is an example of a Past Piece Re-Do that Sam A. did. The artwork on the left is from December 2022. It's a physical watercolor painting of carrots. But after taking my Painted Papercut course on Art Maker's Club, Sam wanted to redo this piece using the new methods she learned.
